Re: Supporters' Association website
well guys this is just an advanced chance to look at the site. Initially myself and Roj will update it, we have not gone on the course yet so it will stand still for a few days yet. Hopefully the whole committee, plus others, will be able to update various sections so something should update DAILY hopefully. The social side could be good for keeping in contact, its like facebook (Ithink)I know you can keep in touch....when you join up you can do more things...
I'll keep you all uptodate...Richard

Re: Supporters' Association website
I thought the idea of running an alternative website was so that people could be be kept upto date with the information ?? Surely it would have been better to wait until the training had been done before opening it up ?

Re: Supporters' Association website
Probably. However the progress is slowed down by folk's work commitments. The payments have been made so the site went live, but there was a distraction when the meeting was held: if only I hadn't bothered to go out and watch the game against Ilkeston I might now be doing work on the website!

Re: Supporters' Association website
I understand that people's work has to come first, but when the main criticism's from supporters was that it wasnt kept upto date, it just leaves the SMSA open to criticism.

Re: Supporters' Association website
Critise away then. I have explained the situation and it may well be resolved this week, the designer's workload permitting. Once A few of us are inducted into the mysteries of developing the site we can "train" up others who will be willing to do some development work and contribute. Just now I am feeling somewhat "why bother anyway".

Re: Supporters' Association website
the website was released by someone other than the SMSA committee. No one else has started to critiscise, I am amazed and bemused and like Roj wonder whether its all worth while..

Re: Supporters' Association website
Gentlemen, I am not trying to be negative about this scenario, just pointing out the facts that certain people have made about the other websites may now be pointed at this new website. Lets hope that the information can be kept upto date and not befall the same problems that the other websites have encountered.

Re: Supporters' Association website
This is a new venture by everyone involved, please be patient, give them an opportunity to make it work and if in a couple of weeks it's crap, by all means let everyone know, in the meantime applaud this as a potential communications venue for all Moors' supporters.

Re: Supporters' Association website
Some progress was made when we met up tonight. Its a work in progress so please be patient as we learn the ropes, but can I encourage as many folk as possible to request membership.
A panel of moderators has now been set up and some ideas started.
We hope that people will supply a user name/pseudonym that we will recognise please as we attempt to create an open community forum.
