EURO so far
To get back to RoJ's original posting, my choice of Croatia are doing reasonably well, as are the Dutch, the Spanish and the Portuguese, of course. Great to see Van Basten and Bilic (first manager I've seen with an earring) jumping up and down with genuine emotion when they score. My other team, Italy, may be going home next week although the French also look a little long in the tooth to me, bring on next Tuesday, penso gli azzurri lo faranno, however if Romania go through then both France and Italy go home. Germany? what can you say? They look disjointed and disorganised to me but they tend to start slowly and improve throughout competitions, however, I'll stick my neck out and say that even if they get to the quarters, I can't see them going any further.

I'm starting to enjoy the football without the difficulty of having to support England. Enjoying Spain and Holland most, but have a sneaky respect for Croatia too. My fear is that we will be entertained by the attacking teams and Germany will come through and win it, much in the usual way of things.

Holland, after destroying the french and italians, van persies goal against france = best goal of the tournament so far.

Yeh but they have Portugal next so they'll have to perform well to get through

Germany may send them to sleep and Ballack will score again from a free-kick. Ronnie them can concentrate upon his move to Spain.

I've said all along Portugal will win it but Croatia are starting to look a good outside bet. They seem to be getting stronger and stronger.....
