Is God really there?
I have been trying to tell my friend that God is really there, but she won't listen to me, she keeps saying, 'And how would that help me?" Because I was giving her bible verses, and she wasn't listening, so how can I prove to her that He is really there? I tried showing her the good things that she has in her life, but she clames that the only good things in her life is me and her bf, but I don't know. I am still trying to prove that he is there and that He can help her. Does anyone know what else I can do to help her?

Christy

Keep reassuring her that you love her and that God loves her, and make sure she knows that you won't give up on her and neither will God. Pray that the Lord will soften her heart so that she will receive him, and leave the rest up to God.

Re: Is God really there?
Maybe take her on a retreat, Personally I went on a church retreat and it was so obvious that He was there, it was fun and had worshiping in it. I recommend this camp/convention thing called "Student Life".
And don't worry, I'll pray for her. Maybe show her how cool Christian music is, I recently showed someone SK,Hawk, Relient K, and Third day and they were like "Wow, I didn't know Christian music was so good!". It helps, It sure did help me through those times.
Also, Christian concerts are really awesome and sometimes they have speakers. I remember I went to one and the guy had one arm. I mean it no legs, and one arm. And he was loving God with all his heart, maybe if she wakes up and sees that everyone is bound to have some hard times, but you need to fix your eyes on Jesus.
I hope she finds Him. God bless!

Re: Is God really there?
No problem, I'll pray for her every night if I remember. Hope you can bring her on a retreat. They are awesome.

Re: Is God really there?
you both are in my prayers! you have done pretty much everything u can do now u got to just pray for her and trust in God to help her.
Just keep asking her if she would like to come to church with u, ask every week if u have to. But make sure your not forcing her to believe because she will have to make the desicion on her own. Tell her that u want to see her in heaven with you when the day comes.
God Bless!

Re: Is God really there?
Yeah also..This is a small thing and I don't really need to post a whole new topic about it, I just wanted to point out that my friend is also in that same kind-of mess.
I have known her since 6th grade and now that I am going to high school and shes going to a different one, she thinks that she can be "emo" and its not true, she doesn't even cut herself..at least I think...Anyway, she dyed her hair black (I'm not saying that bad, just an example). And she does not know Him. Pray for her.

Re: Is God really there?
Your friend will be in my prayers! Well, like everyone said, the best thing that you can do is pray for her because you can't make her believe what you believe but all you can do is pray.
I can't bring her to chruch because she lives on the oppisite side of the city and she is baptist and I am luthern, so that is kinda diffrent and she doesn't believe in Mary, so I don't know how that is going to work. And my family drives 35 min to go to chruch and she lives on the opposite side of the way, so she lives on like the west and chruch is in the east, not really, but still something like that! But I can try!!!

Christy

Re: Is God really there?
Ah well. Maybe you could, I mean what if she spends the night? I've been to my friends lutheran church, its not really different to me, and I go to a bible church.
