i'm a bassist too (but i think everyone on the board knows that by now) and i have an Ibanez. i like it. i really doubt i'll get a new one any time soon cuz...well i don't need one. for some reason i don't like fender...i don't know why. but yeah

bass is indeed easier..

and that's because: 1, you have less strings (only four, compared to six)
2, where guitarists play chords, bassist plays a root note --> easier
3, usually the bass has less complicated riffs (i'm not talking about bands such as TRHCP or Disciple emoticon)

4, as a bassist, u do gotta play good. u gotta play the right notes, a guitarist can mess up a lot--> no problem, but a bassist has got to play the right notes, on the right time.. so that makes it a little harder..
