i'm not that musically talented either, but bass really isn't that hard. just look up some tabs online and see if you can figure em out. if you start with something like Supafly (TFK)...well, it'll be pretty easy. it took me a while to actually be able to hear the bass in songs and figure out the tabs, but just start with something easy and it shouldn't take long emoticon

i found out that if you actually practice, you get a lot better lol. and i'm happy now cuz i can sing the verses to "Light at my Feet" (Pillar) while i play it on the bass...but the chorus i can't sing and play at the same time.

I have a Godin freeway classic with a fender g dec (the 15 watt version) I've been playing for about 2 years and just started getting to where I can shred.

I also heart basses they're soo freakin fun to play emoticon

lol Yeah I have trouble finding the bass in all songs. I may ask my friend, he plays the bass. But hes kind-of old...emoticon

haha yeah i know what thats like. i used to not be able to hear the bass in anything, but now that i actually like know what it sounds like and all i can hear it pretty good in a lot of songs. but its really easy to hear in supafly

awesome. but why acoustic? wouldnt it be better to learn on bass acoustic..
i know how to play acoustic and electric.
i might learn bass.. depends if im busy. it looks as easy as guitar.. its about the same thing i guess.

actually, i think bass is easier than guitar. well, unless you're one of those people who plays chords on the bass. but i play finger style, so i can't do chords (which you shouldn't do on the bass anyway... it's just wrong)
