 Board Rules and Etiquette
No offensive language. We do not tolerate cussing or appreciate substitute cuss words. Also in any threads of topics such as purity, please keep the discussion under a PG level. One of the reasons for this is keeping with 1 Corinthians 10:32 "Do not cause anyone to stumble. . ."
No Fanfiction. We do not want any fictional stories written about them on the board.
Keep the jokes clean. Humor is a good thing, but please do not make jokes about gender, races, religions etc. Even if you have a good intention, be careful when joking; things come across differently over the internet than in person. Always add a smiley or two to make sure your joke or pun is recognized as such.
Only one screenname per person.
Lying is not tolerated. We do not tolerate people pretending to be someone they are really not. Nor do we tolerate the making up of "drama" by posting about situations that are not really going on. Lying of this sort will most likely result in the termination of your account.
Don't be mean or disrespectful to other members. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." This board is about encouragement and building each other up in faith. Even if you disagree with someone, there are polite and respectful ways to discuss your differences.
If a conversation gets out of hand, inform a moderator either through the report button or through PM. Sometimes engaging in a heated debate with someone who disagrees with you or who just wants to be mean, is not the best idea. Instead, it is better to contact a moderator and then walk away from the conversation. Let an authority handle the issue and in the mean time, you won't be creating more chaos on the board by participating in it. A person bent on doing "damage" here can only cause problems if people choose to engage with them.
Avoid petty arguments. 2 Timothy 2:23-24 "Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful."
The purpose of this board is not to worship StellarKartl. 1 Corinthians 10:14 "Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry."
Signatures/Avatars. If you have a signature/avatar that is way too big, you may be PM'ed about it, please try to resolve the issue as soon as possible. If we PM you about it and you do not change it, your signature/avatar may be deleted by a moderator.
Try and use good grammar, punctuation and formatting. Correct grammar and punctuation makes your posts a lot more readable and most likely more people will read them.
Before posting, search the forum. Your comment or question may have already been discussed, answered, or resolved. If you are wanting to start a topic, search to see if one has already been started yet is back a few pages. Also, take some time to read the FAQ (frequently asked questions) threads and most likely many of your questions will be answered.
Be patient. Please don't re-post ("bump") simply because your message is halfway down the page instead of being at the top. Be patient and give people at least a day or so to respond to your message.
Do not quote the entire content of the message to which you are replying. Include only as much as is necessary for context. This brings much more clarity to what you are addressing and can cut down on confusion. If people want to read the whole original post, it is easily accessible.
Welcome newcomers. Make them feel welcome in the community and as members of our board encourage them and build them up. Help them out by answering their questions, etc.
Please, no goodbye threads. If you are wanting to announce that you are leaving the board, please contact a moderator and they will make a goodbye thread for you if necessary.
