Only Wanted This song was inspired by a father/son relationship of some people very close to me (Adam).
The song is written from the father's perspective about how he tried to do all the right things
when raising his son, only to see their relationship crumble as they grew older. The father only
wanted what was best for the son and is trying to explain his point of view in this heartbreaking
song.

I am sad sometimes.But the reason I don't see him is cuz he is super mean!Last time I saw him He grabbed my neck and threw me on the floor!
