Finally - Re/Starting the Game
I am going to give this a shot. Here is the deal:
Anyone who is interested in gaming with me as DM, starting probably the final Monday in March (3/28), please read this post carefully and reply or email me.
Details: This is pretty much the same game we were playing when I stopped. We would be starting at just shy of 4th level with the same plot. I will write a detailed "What has gone before" for all players.
Setting: Greyhawk
Rules: 3.5E, but definitely going for 1st Edition feel (see thread on the other forum). Also, I am looking at Castles & Crusades, which is 3.5E based, but constructed to be closer in feel to 1E.
Tone: I am looking for a game in which the players identify with their PC's but not dark, method acting, dramatist or whatever. Role-playing happens more often than not and the BBEG is feared. Some humor at the table is necessary, but should not dominate the role-playing. Metagame talk in-character is a no-no. Maturity is essential. The plot will end up being epic and the tone is definitely heroic.
Players: I am looking for 3-6 players. If you feel that the style or game or my DM'ing is not for you then please beg off, but I am just going to solicit interest and then see how many people are interested and what the group composition would be and go from there. If there are LOTS of prospective players, I obviously cannot take everyone and will have to make some judgement calls at that point. I will also try to correspond with all interested players to make sure they are okay with this game.
If you were in the game before, you should use the same character.
How/When to respond: By post or email BEFORE Wednesday, March 16th, 2005. I am going out of town the next day and have company coming while I am gone and so as soon as they leave I will do any planning I need to do and put up the background, etc. If I do not hear from you by then, I will assume you are not interested.
Note: If you don't want to join, I will not be offended. This is about putting together a fun and enjoyable game.
