introduction
Hi my name is Sarah and i am 27. I have 2 children, a girl age 7 and a boy age 7 months.
I am starting my first year of my Nursing diploma at Wolverhampton Uni on 24/09/07.
I have chosen to do the 'family-friendly' version of the course which will take me 4 years instead of the usual 3. This is because i will get all the school holidays off and have shorter days at uni and on placements.
i am getting quite nervous about the start of my course but also quite excited. I really wish i had realised 10 years ago that this is what i wanted to do, oh well better late than never, as the saying goes.

Re: introduction
Well there is only another week to go at work and then I am a student. I ordered my NUS card this morning, it all seems really weird
I think it will help that I am starting with my friend Nicola. We met 2 years ago when we both enrolled on the same part-time access to nursing course and have been firm friends ever since.

Re: introduction
Good Luck Sarah. I like the sound of that family friendly version of the course.

Re: introduction
IT's a really great option if you have children. This is only the 2nd year that it's been running. You are at Uni from 10-2 mon to fri and when you are on placements you work a flexible 26 hour week instead of the usual 37.
