I am now a Student Nurse WOOHOO!
I have to say, the first day was really not that bad. I got there for 8.30 and by the time i had managed to walk from where id parked (like a mile away!), i got there for around 8.50. We finished at 2 so it was a nice short day 
We started off with a talk on the course, general layout of it, and were given the opportunity to ask questions about what happens if your sick, where to go in fire alarm, if you have any problems etc. While this was going on the people who hadnt registered online where taken off to do so. We were also given a guideline timetable to say when we are on placement/theory/coursework/annual leave for the whole 3 years which is brilliant!
Then had a lunch hour, which was really nice sat out on the grass eating my pack up with my new friendys!! It was sooo nice and warm today. The car rekoned it was 16.5degrees. Not bad!!
Then it was just a quick talk on Placements, how to reclaim your mileage, where they tend to be, thats its usually a nursing home first.. told who to talk to in case of anything going wrong or seeing something bad in practice etc.
Then at 2 we left!! Tomorrow we get a uniform fitting in the morning and tutorial in the afternoon. Im kinda hoping they give us some work to do.. i cant be doing with admin admin admin! Although i realise it is going to be.. i mean "introduction to the library" Oh my days..
We have 2 weeks induction, 2 weeks theory then straight out onto placement for 3 weeks. YEY!!!
Thursday we have our Moving and Handling - which im quite excited about as i dont know any of this yet.. then Friday is a Fresher Fair where we can get our NUS cards ordered, books, unions etc.
