Well, it's been a while since I have updated this for the pure reason I have been so busy.I will give a overview of what I have done so far!
I have finished my first module which was Foundations of Nursing Care, there were alot of Psychosocial and A & P lectures.Never had a full week which was good! Had some clinical skills in the lab i.e BSL and washing,feeding and manual handling. Had over 6 hours of Manual handling. We get assessed in November and we have to pass! The first module really went over the core of nursing and I enjoyed it. I have finished my foundations of nursing care essay and get the results next week. I have just got results back from my a & p exam and I got 86% so im very happy! I did revise alot though! I am now in the next module which is foundations of health and social care and we have had lectures on bereavement, child insight, psychosocial,empowerment and more a & p!Full weeks in this module as so much to learn! First placment is a learning disability home on 17th August for 5 weeks and then Endoscopy at my local hospital.
I have started working as a hca on the bank and im really enjoying it.Worked on respiratory care today and loved it, wasn't too keen on all the sputum though but thts part and parcel of job! Well I will update as much as I can! Ciao for now x
