Hello!
Hi I'm Nikki and I'm 36. Thought I'd start a diary as i am just about to complete my Access to Nursing course and start the 3 month wait till I begin my BSc Adult Nursing degree at Plymouth Uni in september .
It has been a long year and very hard work at times, but so worth it. Looks like I will be coming out with 60 level 3 credits and 9 level 2 credits which I am so pleased with. The tutors at uni said if i could get through the access then I should find the degree ok! Just hope that is the case!
I am so looking forward to september 21st. It is like a dream come true for me. my youngest will be strating school in september so I feel this is the right time for me to start my dream.
So this is me and this is my diary - the start of a new career, charted in a diary for all to see!!!

Thought i would just add a bit more about me!
I have two children aged 8 and 4. My 8 year old boy has Asperger's, ADHD and dyspraxia while my daughter has developmental dysplasia of the hips but is doing well and looks like she will not need any more ops in the foreseeable future!
My husband is very chuffed that I am going to do my nurse training. At least I will be bringing in some money now even if I only get awarded a small bursary. He is a retained firefighter so there have been lots of jokes about uniforms etc going around!
