Futher training? Im thinking about doing another course now that I have been qualified for nearly a year now.
I was looking at the open university course in Diabetes Care and Dundee Uni do a diabetes course as well. Im waiting for dundee to send me info before I make up my mind.
I thought diabetes would be a good one to do as I would like to know more about it as we see alot of kids with it in the ward.
WIll keep you all posted on what happens.
I got my childline stuff through aswell so gonna be starting my counselling training on August 24th, so a busy time all round for me!
Re: Futher training? what courses do u fancy lulu? Caley do a sexual health one, which I thought sounded really interesting but not really directed at the patients I work with I guess lol
Re: Futher training? that sounds good to me though nikki.
i was think of topping up to honours so that i can get my PG cert in professional education at some point cos i wanna get into education in the future, but they recommend having an honours degree, but not sure how many level 3 and how many level 4 modules i need.
i was hoping to put my family planning towards it seeing as i will have that module by october.... i would like to try and do things that are related to both nursing and midwifery so sexual healthwould be good also ethical decision making and a nasty dissertation.
Re: Futher training? I must admit the honours thing is something that I have thought about aswell but Im not really sure what modules I could do to get it and as you said the nasty dissartation!
Re: Futher training? just been having a nosey at the Napier modules and seen quite a few that i like the sound of at level 3
moral and ethical issues, adolescent health or HIV issues for nurses and midwives. the first 2 arent available til october next year but the HIV one starts in feb.... will hopefully have submitted all my midwifery work by then so thats a possibility.
actually cant believe im talking about doing more modules
