One of my patients from my last job died last week and it was her funeral today.
It was soo sad, she was 16 and had cystic fibrosis. She had received a heart and lung transplant a few years back but sadly it never improved her quality of life.

The service was lovely and she planned most of it herself, and it was nice to hear that she donated her heart.

Just thought I would share that with you all.

Ps the sister from my last ward was there aswell and she never said 2 bloody words to me!

yeah i am lulu, i went with some of the nurses for a coffee and the place is getting worse by the sound of it.

Thanks hun, I know this may seem silly, but I am grateful that I got the chance to say goodbye to her as I had left the ward about 2 weeks before she passed away.

Thats really sad, but how nice that she planned it herself.

Glad you feel happier not working there anymore, but nice that you keep in touch with some of your old colleagues.
