cancer update i had my review by the radiologists on the 30th of oct... they were fairly happy with the way things had gone.
however i have been having some pretty pants side effects from the tablets... hot flushes and poor concentration arent quite so bad but been suffering from dry mouth, thirst, oedema, itchy skin and severe bleeding which has been getting me down a bit and i am getting referred to gynae to have the bleeding looked into as tamoxifen is known to cause endometrial problems including endometrial cancer .
i dont think im really worried about it cos i dont think its anything as serious asa that but i just want to be reassured.
been feeling a bit hormonal and weepy over the last few weeks which isnt like me really but think everything is kinda catching up with me, like work and going back to normality.... im not used to having downer days
also have problems with cording in my arm and through my breast again which is a bit of a pain cos it can be quite uncomfortable
anyway enough of my moans and groans... lifes not really that bad.
Re: i have cancer lulu you have been through so much, and you have a family to look after too, dont feel as if you are haveing a moan , anytime you feel like getting things off your chest just post and i am sure there will be lots of people willing to listen to you ,just as you are always here to help other people out, sending lots of good wishes and a welsh cwtch your way(cwtch is welsh for hug)
Re: i have cancer Im so pleased to hear your review by the radiologists went well Lulu The side effects your having sound awful though poor you you have ben through so much i'm not surprised your weepy, but life isn't getting back to normal quite now you have broken your leg poor you.
We don't realise how lucky we are to be healthy.
I am really pleased for you that things are getting better.
You have been through hell and it is certainly not moaning but a human need to share your feelings.
well iv got a date in for my pre assessment at gynae... on the 21st december. which is quite good as that means if i need any treatment or surgery it will be in the new year.
couldnt quite imagine getting in lithotomy position with a plaster on my leg (in case you didnt know i broke my leg 2 weeks ago) .
also developed a petic ulcer following my fracture apparently is common after physiological stress.... dont think the brufen helped :rofl:.
Re: i have cancer got my plaster off on dec 21st and my legs looking fine... still a bit sore and swollen but not bad... have a check up next thurs
had my gynae appointment and everything looked ok from the outside but to have a hysteroscopy to see what its like on the inside.... might ask to get a mirena in while they are poking about LOL
just got bakc my hols to a letter telling me to attend on wed... so not much time to get my knickers in a fankle... until april id never had a GA and by tomorrow will have had 3 in less than a year
ach well
im back to both works on monday and looking forward to getting back to being busy.

alls going well consultant didnt think there was anything to worry about he said my uterus was fine and dandy (not his exact words )
i developed lymphoedema when using my crutches and wed 31st my very fat little hand was sore and tight and i was sent over to minor injuries to ahve it looked at... had developed lymphangitis again froma tiny wee cut on my finger... anyway off work on antibiotics again for a few days....
now.... no more please think iv had my fair share

my mum has her 2 year oncology review this afternoon... hope it goes well for her.
