Into the last quarter now... well well well. 25th January will see my first lecture back after the xmas hols. Have 1 more essay to write for the 23rd, should get it done in the next week or so. Well I cant believe that this will be my last stint at University going to lectures with my best pals Feeling quite sad, I love going to Uni,we have a right laugh and I love being with everyone from my group. We have 4 weeks of lectures left until middle of feb, then 4 weeks directed study, then a 5 month management placement which will take us all to qualifying. It's exciting, but sad and nerving at the same time. 2 more essays left to do. Find out my management placement week beginning 6th February. Wish me luck for the last quarter of my training!!
Re: Into the last quarter now... I am in a similar position lou.
Have my exam period up til the 20th, then have a weeks holiday and start back on the 31st of Jan. 8 week stint in uni, and then start an 8 week placement, 1 week holiday and then start 14 week placment. Then technically three weeks holiday and then I will be eligible to register....
But surely you will keep in contact with your pals, although I know it is not the same when you arent with each other all day. But good luck (for both of us)!
Re: Into the last quarter now... How exciting and scary must it be for you now. I cannot wait or believe it will ever be possible to get to that position. Good luck to you for your last quarter hope you get the placement you want!

Re: Into the last quarter now... i love the thought of critical care, but to be honest im just gonna apply everywhere as i will be so glad to have a job even if its not what i want. if i had to choose a ward it would have to be general medical/ cardiology/ respiratory. Loved A&E though because of the confidence it gave me; i dont necessarily want to work there though. Or do I??? lol. However for my last placement choices i picked a liver ward/hdu for my 2nd choice. thought it would be interesting. but kinda wishing id picked CCU or cardiology now. no point dwelling though, i might even get my first choice which was a&E. at the end of the day everything happens for a reason and thats what ive gotta remmeber over the coming days when i find oout where im going.
