just had my OSCE!!! well im glad to say that ive just got back from uni and have done my OSCE's. i had to do drug administration and BLS. did the drugs one first and think it went ok, could have answered a couple of questions on anaphylactic reaction better but my mind went blank and to be honest i didnt revise it specifically. i just answered it best i could. BLS went ok i think so hopefully i wont have to do them again! fingers crossed anyway lol

its basically a practical exam. you are usually given a scenario or task and have a certain time to carry out the task. some are a pass or a fail and others are given percentages.
not all unis do them.
somethings that you can get them on are taking blood pressure, handwashing, moving and handling, cpr.
Re: just had my OSCE!!! well the OSCEs are just down to tutors thinking you are doing something right but tehy arent always up to date either
there are positives and negatives.... some people including myself get extremely anxious during exams.... i could hardly do cpr cos i was shaking so much
