Kids!!!!
Had a phone call at work today from hubby to say my son had woken up with an abscess on his tooth...he was supposed to go to Spain with the school today! 
I waited for more updates at work and he has been given a 7 day course of antibiotics. Nurses on my ward were saying they didn't think they would take him coz he is a diabetic too...I was really worried coz he would have been devestated!! 
Anyway luckily he has gone now just have to worry for 8 days about his diabetes control will keep you posted on this thread.
Think it will help me to write it all down or I'll go loopy!!

I'm sure your son will have a fab time, they always do when away with their friends on trips, they seem to forget any illnesses they had before they went, and the hol is soon over the way the time is flying by:

He is 11 when we got to the coach we were intoduced to a woman going with them who is a nurse and knows all about diabolicals
...PHEW!!!
and so far...crossing everything  we have not heard from him which is good news!!

Everytime the phone rang wondered if we needed to get to Spain quick....but really pleased to report that he is back ok 30 blood sugars when he arrived but he had been sitting on the coach for 24 hours. 
Got him down quickly and then really tired had a fab time only one thing was pick pocketed of £20 in Barcelona by one of those men pretending to be a statue, was too embarassed to tell the teacher about it, but ok anyway.

Really glad your son had a great time on holiday, its really annoying that people have to steal at all, yet alone off children.
But at leat he's home safe and well.
