As a little aside here, i rang to check that the education payroll dept had got my correct new bank deteils which i sent over a month ago. They hadn't I also asked if they could send me a form for the student tax code for exemption for working during my hols...."oh no we dont have them....ring inland revenue" . I asked for another change of bank details form "we dont have them, just put it in a letter"
Feeling rather grumpy now i rang IR who said that the employer must give me the exemption form!!! Sod it i thought, and left it.
Later the same afternoon i rang back the payroll dept and spoke to someone else....she was so nice and helpful....said "i'll send you the bank form and an exemption form (THEY DID HAVE THEM AFTER ALL ) along with an SAE for you to return them."
WELL.....finally got sorted.., moral of the story - dont give up after one phone call!!!

Re: Got a Job! Was first day back at job today after a lovely two weeks off (half term). It's been so hot though, the kids (and me) were melting, bless 'em. Finally got the tax and bank details sorted and its pay day on thursday.....YAY just in time for my birthday on saturday

Re: Got a Job! Awwwww, its the last week in my school job and im going to miss it and the kids. Next Tuesday i start my final yr 2 placement and im cacking myself. OK, the ward im off to is lovely (i had 12 weeks there in my 1st year) but im, like, 'will they expect me to know more, do more, say more' Im looking forward to it really, it take s me that much closer to being in my final year....9 weeks closer!!!!!
