Not happy today!!

Well I'm a wee bit depressed today.. I've been job hunting since I got back from Lux last week. Was hoping for an auxilliary position to give me some experience in a hospital before I start my course, but suddenly there are no jobs in Glasgow or Paisley! I had been checking frequently while I was away, and there were always lots, its just typicaly my bad luck emoticon

Anyway, I sent off for bank work, and they sent me application forms but said there is a waiting list for interviews for auxiliary nurses. It looks like a return to bar work for me could be the way, although I had hope to avoid it, I really wanted something that would help me with my course!

I just don't know what to do now. I need a job so I can get a flat, and return my sanity! Its very hard living with the parents again, especially when my mum isn't being completly supportive of my decision to do nursing. I'm feeling like this after only 1 week at home... emoticon

Anyway, sorry for the moan, I know there are alot of people much worse of than me, and I know that it will all work out soon.. only 6 months to go!!

i feel so sad for you! something is bound to turn up! what about contacting local care agencies who send AN's to the hospital? with them you would get hospital, community and care home experience. it is worth looking into, keep looking on the job site and il keep my fingers crossed for you! goodluck winnie the pooh!!! emoticon

Thanks everyone, I'm feeling a bit more positive now... Lulu gave me a new website that I hadn't seen before, and there are some jobs up on them which I have applied for. Now got the fingers crossed, and I know that something good will turn up soon! emoticon
