Re: Access courses!
I've actually decided to do 3 "A" levels via distance learning, Psycholgy, Sociology and Biology. They are half-price at the mo, so the money I'll save on petrol will easily cover the cost, and some!
Homestart is part of Surestart, volunteers are trained to work at home with families of children Under 5, who have the need for extra support...basically unpaid family support workers....but you feel like you really achieve something, and it is always good for CV's etc. I actually think my previous Midwifery experience will work against me, as lack of committment, so I want to make sure I look dedicated and have experience of working with women and their families. I remember before I looked into the Diploma, UEA didn't accept applicants on the shortened programme without relevant experience of working with women/families, GYnae or similar, so I'm thinking longterm! Can't wait for the next application cycle to gat underway!

Re: Access courses!
Thanks for that Lulu. I'm hopefully getting myself sorted, I start my bank HCA induction on Monday, so really looking forward to that. Have cancelled the MCA work as it was too far from home and although I would of loved it, I'm now focusing on nursing and the bank gives me the flexibility to study without balancing childcare. There'll be enough of that if I get a nuring place! Just got to make sure I'm gonna pass my "A" levels! Hope you're enjoying the new job!
luv to all
