Re: Siilybait??
Hi Munchey,
I understand exactly where you are coming from, i to have had doubts not only on the money side but on the commitment of Uni and my family.
Last year i was earning £26,000+ at MG Rover and now i am on about 14,000 a bit more with ot but i am working all sorts of hours, now in Jan 07 when i go to Uni i will be on about £6,000 per year.
Some drop in 18 months but belive me i think it will be worth it. My only real worry is that there will be no jobs for me when i finish.
I really do understand that you will have doubts but i bet most people on this site over the age of 25 have had these kind of doubts.
You are having a bad patch but trust me Mel you have done really well to get a place so don't give up even before you have started, i promise you , you will regret it when the kids grow up and fly off.
If you need to chat and iron your doubts out, post on here and we will help you. i understand that we can only advise but i can only say again, we are all in the same situation with money and most on here i suppose have had to give things up, but it is worth it.
Take care and make the right choice

Re: Siilybait??
Give things up????.........NEVER
That was almost good advice Sillypants, ever thought of a career in the caring profession??
I think I'm just kacking it!
I do really want to do it and I don't want to F it up....spent too much on books.....probably why I can't afford to do the course
Just wish I could start NOW and stop stressing, I'm sure I'll be fine when it starts..
...as long as I don't actually have to do anything
Thanks for your support Sillypants!
(yuk, that felt all touchy feely )

Re: Siilybait??
Congratulations Becky!!
Sillybait starts in Jan 07 and I'm in Sep 06! Tho sods law my Uni are starting to offer part time ODP in Sep 07, which would prob suit me better, but if I don't start now I'll prob end up doing something else!! I'm easily distracted..
Congrats again and welcome to the ODP corner!!
