Starting 3rd year...

Well finally went in and took all my books back from second year and paid my fine of £18.60!! Luckily I had just got my bursary on friday!

As I was in reluctantly paying my fine, I checked my timetable for 3rd year and I was over the moon. Depending on what group I am in - looks like I will have a thursday and Friday off! emoticon But Monday and Tuesday are jammed packed full days, but glad I can have at least one day out of uni.

Also made an appointment to see my PDP lecturer, to go over and sign off my portfolio for year 2.. Glad when that is done and officially I can start third year.. although will have to wait until the progression board meets in two weeks.. But that is merely a formality.

Then on the 27th of September, 2005, Paul Marshall shall enter the final year of his nurse education and around this time next year can call himself, Staff Nurse!!! emoticon

Re: Starting 3rd year...

Aye, we have two compulsory modules, For example this semester we have Nursing module, a research module and an option. I chose Systemic and Cellular Pathology. Others available were Health Promotion in Action, Health and Community Care, Psychology for health Professionals, Politics of Health and Clinical Decision Making.

Fourth year is similar, one compulsory module [Management and Ethics], the dissertation module and an option. You can choose sunjects like critical care, wound management etc.

Oh and I have decided to stay on to do my honours thanks for all the advice girls, especially lulu. emoticon

Re: Starting 3rd year...

i have applied to Caley for an individualised post reg prospectus to see what they offer at hounours level... that was a week ago but still not recieved it.

good coice i was just reading an article today about nurse consultants and it was recommending that all nurse consultants must have at least a masters degree.... so i think getting your honours will definately be a must.

most masters course will only take you if you have honours

so good luck with emoticon

Re: Starting 3rd year...

I thought it was at least a year?

Got my letter for starting 3rd year today.. so chuffed it seems a reality now even though I always knew I was starting - this just reinforces the fact that in a years time I will be on the register!! emoticon

Looking forward to 3rd year starting.. although will be sad that I will have to get up early most mornings. emoticon My usual lie in will be a distant memory.
