FIREWORKS
Yesterday say a very angry consultant and scrub nurse in theatre, They were working together the day before and there was a dispute between them and the nurse lashed out at the consultant, slapping him in the face and being abusive towards him for not taking care of a very younger patient who was petrified.
However they where working together the next day and there was a piece of equipment missing and we spent 20 minutes looking for the F%*£*ing thing and couldn't find it. The Consultant shouted "I'VE HAVE STOPPED OPERATING FOR 20 BLOODLY MINUTES I'M GOING UP TO MAIN THEARES TO FIND IT, MY SELF!!!"
The consultant in rage rips of his gown and storm out the door while I get pushed over in the process. The nurse is furious at this point but doesn’t want to make it worse as the consultant is under a stupid amount of pressure and has personal issues at home.
The theatre sister comes in and says "Oh dear me... it's in the self in the lay out room we put it there yesterday."
So we phone the consultant and told him we had it all along, he apologise (saying to me particular he’s a “fool”) and said he called for the wrong thing in the first place and to make things worse we call it something else and never really use it in our area.
At that point I asked to do something more constructive as there was 11 people pack in this theatre room and the atmosphere was at breaking point.
Later on I was told that the nurse and the consultant are both in the army and the nurse out ranks the consultant and that was causing some kinda conflict, which happen between them every time they work together.
I don't about you guys but that's a total Pissing joke, while they're having a fight, who the heck’s looking after the patient. That poor person had to stay over night because of that!
