Life at Uni

Well diary i have been neglecting you sorry

Well the weekend before i started uni i had a major wobble about whether i was doing the right thing, i think it was more guilt about what i was doing to my family than anything, well perhaps it was to do with my insecurity as well, i mean i passed my access course with flying colours so why would i feel i am not clever enough? Anyway i posted on the forum about my worries and had some wonderful replies which helped me loads, i love the people on this forum.

Day 1 went well left really early 6:45 and arrived at 8:10 desperate for the loo!!! Sat in the car till 8:30 then went in, i was one of the first to arrive and we sat in the lecture theatre and more and more people arrived. In the end 180 people turned up but apparently they were only expecting 150, found out later its something to do with clearing and people not accepting their place till the last minute????!!!!!! I think they need to change the system lol.

Anyway i was looking out for a girl in pink who i had meet on this forum!!! Well what a nice lady, i always seem to attract people who like to talk. We decided to car share which is great, we usually talk about what has happened and help each other understand its a brilliant time travelling with Gill, the journey flies by now.

The degree students were then put into a separate room, there is only 25 of us it was really nice to be together and get to know each other. The time tables were changed as the whole cohort was to big to have induction together and so the accelerated, child, learning disabilities and adult degree did the 3 week induction together, and Adult diploma did theirs separate to us. The 3 weeks gave me plenty of time to make friends and really get a feel for the place it was great to have the chance to settle in before it all started for real.

So after the 3 weeks was up we started for real and its great, i would not change it for the world. The only thing i have not enjoyed so far was the debate, i could really kick myself for not joining in now as i had a really good point to make.

So now my first 7 weeks is over and I'll be off on placement next week and i can't wait, no more uni till next year how weird does that sound lol.
