Access and beyond!
I am loving my access course and have met some really great people but soon we are going to be set free from our safe little environment into the big world of university! I am feeling both excited and nervous I was very lucky and got offered 3 places for adult nursing. The first was at NEWI the second at Bangor (but it runs through the archimedes centre in wrexham) and the third was at wolverhampton. I had been to a very informative open day at wolves and had loved it.I had been told that I would be based at the city campus in wolverhampton which suited me fine but at interview i was informed that the theory would be based at walsall for the degree course. I was not particularly happy about this as it meant having to tackle the dreaded M6 which for anyone living around here is a nitemare. I was really disapointed as i soo wanted to go to wolves but felt that the travelling and juggling all my other balls would be too much but after lots of agonising have decided that if this is the only reason why I don't choose wolves it's a pretty lame one! So have bitten the bullit and resigned myself to my car for 3 years!! But I will invest in a dictaphone so I can plan essays on my drive home! So if you see a blond woman talking frantically to herself she's not mad she's just planning her next assignment!!
Adios amigos.

Re: Access and beyond!
Hi Gill, i know exactly what you mean about the M6, im going to the Walsall campus too, i suppose it all depends on what time we start, if its a 9am start then the journey will be pants, but whats the point in worrying yet!
I thought i would be based at Wolverhampton for my theory, the train station was so close to the uni i was planning to travel by train each day, but Walsall station is no where near Wallsal campus so i am planning on driving each day.
I went to all the open days at Wolverhampton last year, they were fantastic so much information and they made me feel so wanted encouaging me to apply to them. I went to various other open days at other uni's but they were pants compared to Wolves.
The only time i have visited Walsall campus was for my interview, so havn't had a chance to look round properly yet, but there is a open day on 13th May which i am planning to go to.
Are you planning to go perhaps we could meet up?
