No Slay, you would actually be helping Lucas do his job as forum administrator.

Now, back on topic...

I'm not opposed to helping, but I'm talking about a major cleaning.

Are you saying that my statement is off topic?

not off topic, but I find it odd that you would say that there is something wrong with the site, and yet not tell me or the other mods where the problem is...

Statements like that result in us not resolving issues that you do not give examples for.

kind regards,
Lucas

But, you gave a great example. Frank's links.

Yes, but earlier when Lucas mentioned Frank's links being the only ones he knew were broken, you replied with:

Not true, the last reorganization left a few.

I'm not trying to pick on you or anything, but in all seriousness when you're telling us there are broken links then you need to point out exactly what and where they are so we can fix them. Otherwise it just isn't being helpful.

If I have to go back thru everything just to tell you where the problems are, then I'm not just helping, I'm doing your job.

Slay, until you are granted either mod or admin privileges -- and can therefore actually fix the broken links once they are found -- then quite frankly you are incapable of "doing our job."

At any rate, none of us are here solely to play "Link Police." Void, Lucas, and I are all involved helping others develop their projects as well as trying to develop our own.

We will fix broken links whenever we come across them or whenever they are reported to us... but hunting them down isn't any easier for us as it would be for you. That's why we ask for specific instances. If you can't -- or won't -- help us out in that regard then there's not much we can do until we stumble across it ourselves.

as far as this 'broken link' thing that slay is referring to, I now consider it not to exist.

Unless a specific example is given of something being broken (that I can resolve), then it is not broken.

If you cannot substantiate a claim that something does not work, don't report it, because as far as I am concerned, I am not going to go through 15,637 individual posts to check every bleeding link.

please don't waste our time.

thanks,
Lucas

But just to be clear we DO want to fix broken links where possible, so if any of you do come across one please let us know. emoticon

Until then, as I find them I’ll let you know.

And that is much appreciated.

But, it is easier for you, in that you can just fix them as you find them. I can’t.

I reported nothing specific, only a general reference that they (broken links) do exist.

>please don't waste our time.

I wouldn’t dream of wasting our time.
