Rules and Intent Poll - Section 2

The intent of this poll is to request the membership to analyze and then to refine the specific sections of the Rules and Intent to make it a more agreeable overall and to indicate the fundamental respect for all users of this forum.

For your selection, please indicate which sub section needs the most attention for refinement, and then after one week, the highest count for a particular sub section will result in posting that section in this thread where we can refine it. all members will have a say in how we refine it. Only constructive comments will be considered.

You can select any of the 8 categories. Votes can only be made once, but on up to 4 at a time if you wish.

thank you and kind regards,
Lucas

Project Abandonment

It is this section that I most disgree with. Now I know that it is not the intent of the adminstration or the current members to take abandoned work and so as they please, but future members who neglect to read every thing precisely and only glance over the rules may feel like the current reading of the rules given them a blank check to use any work they want (specifically in the general art forum) any way they want.

I usually don't mind if people use my stuff, but I think it is respectful and courtieous if they ask before they do. You don't have to ask but I'm nicer to you if you do. I think that to take over one's work after it has been deemed abandoned is disrectful to that artists. I believe that every attempt within a reasonable time period must be made to contact that artist and ask permission to use it. If the artist cannot be reached, then the thread containing the art should be either hidden until the artist returns, or deleted. This allows the artist some control over art posted. The default should maintain that the artist rights are protected.
