quick question

Shadow Industries has its own defence force but the problem i have is the crew is already dead (undead) so in my beliefe they dont need escape pods or living quarters

see over 2 years ago the GM allowed me to bring undead into the campain and the ability to raise such but designing ships has gotten a bit rough as of late (designers block)
here is my oldest stuff i did a few years ago
no deckplans
http://shadowindustries.mystarship.com/
the site is just about dead
and most the links dont work
but back to the situation at hand
in imperial or republic law do i have to have excape pods for those crew that arnt alive to begin with?
im hoping not

The question should be are there separate laws that apply to the undead? Is there a large enough market demand for undead only ships? And would the undead want to become the double dead? if not they might like an escape pod or two.

(I managed to type two words before the smirk was fully developed).

Re: quick question

Since these people are no longer living they should not be held to the standards of safty that those of living people would be held. Although ships would still have to be originally purchased with lifepods, the owner of the ship could remove them at a later date.

Also you would have to prove to the emprire that your crue was already dead to avoid that lifepod mandate.

well come to think about it you dont have to have excape pods for droids and they are considered second class citizens (in a way) so should the undead and besides they can always be raised again all i have to find is one of their bones emoticon
and no these ships will be for the defence of the yards and our planets at a whole so these wont be for sale
but i do plan on designing a few for sales purposes and they will be using full safty features

In that case do you even need life support (if I recall the IG-2000 only has life support in the holding cells). The ships can basically be engines with guns attached. Waste not want not (and what not).

Re: quick question

well the basic crew is undead but the officers are necromancers and are alive so life support is definately needed for those and officer cabins will be there but basic crew cabins wont

guns will be onboard but mostly setup is around boarding pods
