Sensor suites

I don't see anything particularily dedicated to the topic of a ships sensor suite. I know that there are varieties of sensors to do different things. My main area of concern with starting this topic is to get an idea of sensor ranges and whether or not there is some sort of standardization for the ranges that the sensor suite is capable of.

Using WEG numbers, I'll post a couple of examples...

A stock YT-1300 is listed as follows:

Passive:10/0D
Scan:25/1D
Search:40/2D
Focus:2/3D

A stock Kazellis is:

Passive:20/1D
Scan:50/2D
Search:70/2D+1
Focus:4/3D

Is there an established array of sensor suites out there somewhere that have these? Which would imply the ability to buy these, in whole or in various component pieces (ie better passive sensors or better focus sensors), almost anywhere in the galaxy.

But what does the panel think? I'm hoping that there is some sort of affirmitive answer so that I can pick out the parts I want for the Solarium, a modified Cargo Empress I'm going to write into a FanFic. Let me have it fellas.

Re: Sensor suites

Braden, we moved the forum to here in November. The new one is better, but, as far as I know, we don't have a solid discussion about sensors, so you might want to repost your comment over there.
