Re: VOID's Gunstore
Hehehehe... Look one post up!
And yes, they are all in blue scale so far, since most of the ships are in blue scale.

Re: VOID's Gunstore
Since I don't play D6 nor D20, my stats would not be very helpfull to you.
Perhaps somebody else has an itch to do stats and capsules for my guns. I would certainly not object to that. Whoever might be interested, just open a "Stats for VOID's guns" thread and get it done.

Re: VOID's Gunstore
well, the intention of this thread as I see it is to show off your gun designs, and that is the point. If we were to discuss their feasibility, then here is also the place to do it.
However, if we were to discuss technical specifications of lasers and turbolasers and such, then that goes into the tech discussion forum.
But I do see your point about seperation of technical stuff with the art....however it is a bit blurry. I would rather keep it simple.

Re: VOID's Gunstore
Left: The Arakyd Skycutter APMS-72 is a multi-stage cruise-missile for planetary bombardement application. The warhead seperates during the last phase and is guided into the target by a small droid brain. The missile has particle- and ray-shielding.
Right: The Arakyd Hullcutter AOMS-71 Mk.IV, called HM-4 by the imperial Navy, is a singlestage cruise-missile for capship-capship combat. Compared to the APMS-72 its particle shields are very weak and oly enough to protect the warhead from small debries pieces. Howeverm the rayshields are much stronger, protecting the missile from enemy point defense weapons and Interceptors.
The AOMS-71 is legacy of the time when capital ships were armed extensively with missile weapons, like the Victory I for example. A single hit is often enough to severely damage even big capital ships, cripple small capitals and completely annihilate all smaller vessels, but the expensive missiles never reach theyr target in many cases, since most defenders are very well aware of the devastating destruction capacity and coordinate point-defense fire and fighter screening accordingly.
Hoeever, the missile is still known to be popular with some rebel cells, pirates and privateers, because the massive missile can be modified to be fired from docking tubes, especially those of the Ghtroc line.
The most prominent use of stolen Arakyd Hullcutters was the near destruction of the imperial Stardestroyer "Fireblade" when a rebel Ghtroc freighter loaded with two of these missiles fired them from inside the hangar of the Stardestroyer into the main TIE landing bay. The Fireblades bow had to be completely replaced. The rebel pilot was caught, trialed and sentenced to execution.

Re: VOID's Gunstore
The Arakyd Hullcutter AOMS-71 Mk.V, called HM-5B by the imperial Navy, is the successor of the older Mk.IV. It is cheaper, easier to manufacture, faster, has superior shields compared to the Mk.IV and improved evasion algorythms. The drawback is, that it has only half the range of the Mk.IV and requires the firing ship to be equipped with specialized programming systems in order to feed targeting data to the missile. The warhead is also slightly weaker, reducing damage potential slightly.

Re: VOID's Gunstore
And more missiles. Those that are thinner at the end are athmospheric salvo rockets without targeting that use tumble-stabilizers to stay on course.
