Re: My design

I'm sure someone did start it, either here or elsewhere as I have a couple of WIP pictures saved in my deckplans folder. No idea who did the work though as there are no credits on the original pics.

Here they are, if you drew them come and take credit.

Re: My design

yeah, ebon hawk did inspire me,

I mentioned that in my first post emoticon

as to the base shape....

originally the idea was that the back half was a flat spheroid mint shape, and the front half an extended flattened cylinder following the oval cross section.

Ill get to work on some external views emoticon

Re: My design

OK, excuse the little graphical artifacts
I plan of fixing them later
because the bitmaps are so large im going to post links rather than images .

however.

front and side view.

Yes I am crap at art. but I think the base view comes out properly.

The little palette is whats generated using the RGB numbers that void posted.

I honestly dont know why I am having difficulties, I have tried on 3 different machines with the same effect

Here is what I have dont on the deck 1.

The super thick hull will be filled with green stuff, eventully as at the back with the ion engine and the life support

I envision sensors and hyperspace generators being located in the forward thick hull and the pontoon bits.

Re: My design

Looks good. Needs some more fleshing out, more detailing to the engines, but that just takes time. The only other thing I can think of is that when posting images, please use the [img] or [url=] tags, so people don't have to ctrl+c and ctrl+v.

Re: My design

The Hawk is a good design with one odd-ball problem. As presented in the video game it's too short for two decks and too tall for just a single deck.

Re: My design

Thats why I decided on a ebon hawkesk inspired design.

I always wondered why the port side had a gap where cargo could be.

Its just crying our for a 2nd cargo bay.

I also read most of the ebon hawk thread where people talked about the old systems and stuff.

So my idea is that is a design of the same mindset. same solar system / region etc. Like all teh naboo ships are pointy pointy shiny shiny and corellion are MF-esk with the docking bay etc

I have completed an top external view. Its missing fine detail but shows the shape and the engines. Ill post when i eventully get home.
