Re: My design

I have no intentions to demoralize you on this, kirstar. Style is a question of personal opinion and my personal opinion doesn't like the style you are using. But that's it. Just my opinion. On the other hand, we are much better able to give you advice and help you improving your work, if we at least use the same grafical style. emoticon

Re: My design

The best way to build a good ship with a quality deckplan is either working from the outside in, or working with jigsaw methode, going back and forth between externals and internals. Taking shortcuts rarely works and can only be done, when using very simply shaped ships, which again often looks terribly boring. Maybe you could pick up one of the abandoned projects instead. I really see some skill in your work, even though I didn't like the style and even though you said you showed little confidence in your abilities and your potential. You already went a long way from your first draft to the current version. I am convinced you might well be able to make the same leap using our style and experience at your disposal. I am suggestion picking up an abandoned project, because of the immense similarity between your ship and the Ebon Hawk. The Ebon Hawk has already been started, but it is abandoned and perhaps it would be a good idea, if you tried to work with a frame that is already set and started. Give it a thought. If not, you can still draw inspiration from the abandoned Ebon Hawk project and use it as a guideline.

Please continue your efforts in the new forum. In case you have not been there yet, here is the address: http://swda.art-of-void.de/forum/

I am now closing this thread in this forum here. You can still access your posts in it via the edit function.
