Project Beowulf
Project Beowulf is based on a combination of several things. It is primarily inspired upon an RPG Session and ship created by my Star Wars d20 GM Novastar - The ship is called "Open Skies".
When I found the image of a concept ship called the "Beowulf" found on the following FireFly thread I knew I had to deckplan the ship out. Novastar had actually watched my DVD set of the Firefly Series and was heavily inspired by the series. But unintentionally added elements of the TV show into our SW Game. It was quite funny to point these features out to him, and have him get frustrated. But the Open Skies, he did provide a decently neat sketch, and hence when I spotted the original image, I had to go with deckplanning the ship.

Re: Project Beowulf
Nice concept. Interesting, although I am rather reluctant when it comes to 'crossover' designs, this does look quite 'starwarsy'. I look forward to seeing more on this ship.
keep up the good work!

Re: Project Beowulf
I have started to work on the engine pod - get it cleaned up, do a full orthographic of just it.
As you can see, I left some of the test lines, and the work in red is all, testing out how it looks. Please leave feedback!
Thanks

Exelent work dude!!
Having seen this ship it is probably one of the best looking ships I have ever seen. And I am sure that left in your hands it will only get better.

Re: Project Beowulf
The turbine intake looks a little odd to me. Other than that looking good.

Re: Project Beowulf
those thruster assemblies look like they are vertically rotatable...are you, on the finished product, going to incorporate that or leave them as is?

Re: Project Beowulf
Yes Intellivore the pods shall rotate up - they could rotate 180 - 360 degree's I guess. But generally I can see them either point directly up, or slightly down.
