Re: Corellian Corvette Escape Pod - Yellowscale
I know what you mean, it was very difficult to determine exactly how the engines are aligned....but once I determined that the side hatch was the 'front' and the engines are aligned to that, it became easy.

Lucas I must say, extrodinary
now if you could only teach me how you do that
are there any special tools or settings you use within paint to develop these images??

Re: Corellian Corvette Escape Pod - Yellowscale
I have ten methods that have improved my work, and served me in MS Paint for the last 8 years. Here they are:
1. Practice
2. Practice
3. Practice
4. Practice
5. Practice
6. Practice
7. Practice
8. Practice
9. Practice
10.Practice
The best thing you can do is to keep drawing. The ability will come with time. My early work was rather crude, but time has lessened the crudeness of my work.

Re: Corellian Corvette Escape Pod - Yellowscale
Thank you Grtak,
to elaborate, I don't use any special settings, MSPaint is pretty bare bones. Just a lot of patience.
What kind of help are you looking for? I'd be happy to help in technique if I can.
regards,
Lucas

Re: Corellian Corvette Escape Pod - Yellowscale
the dpi reference was made because I saved the newest version of the Ghtroc 720 and looked at the attributes the resolution it set at 96x96 dpi and the normal resolution is 81x81 dpi and I do not see any way to make an adjustment
Also the G-720 is a gif image, but when I attempt to save a pic as a gif a warning pops up about loss of color info
thanks

Re: Corellian Corvette Escape Pod - Yellowscale
I'm really not sure about the dpi. I don't think that it is modifyable in Paint.
However I do know what you mean about the loss of colour thing.
When you open Paint from scratch and create an image, it defaults as a bmp image. Saving as a Gif inevitably results in the loss of colour quality. Just make sure that you have not set any custom colours before doing that. If you have merely created construction lines, then just ignore that message though.

Lucas

Now you are talking!
Lucas I think an MS paint thread is a good idea. I think I could post a cool tech tip once a week, so my 8 years of experience can be shared with all. Good thinking guys.
