Re: TIE/ln model WIP
Here is a render with the Rhino v 3 eval.
1024 x 768
However I like the old version's (which I modeling with) render better.

Re: TIE/ln model WIP
Work on the window skirt.
Rhino doesn't like shadows through transparencies, so it looks like the corners of the monitor is sticking out of the window.
Oh well.

Re: TIE/ln model WIP
Paul, I have a ton of SWRPG books at the moment, and in one of those books is a pic from the side with the pilot sitting. Would you like me to upload the picture?

Re: TIE/ln model WIP
I have those pics, Grtak, thanks to Frank way back when. Luc's scale increases the size from what is shown in those schematics.
And, yes, I tried moving the spot lighting.

Re: TIE/ln model WIP
Isn't that the "hinge" that's also on the back of the ball?

Re: TIE/ln model WIP
nice detailing Paul.
klick - that is similar to the hinge assembly on the rear part, but it is definitely not the same.

Re: TIE/ln model WIP
Perhaps it is some sort of sensor doohickey, or just an access/service point for the ****pit monitor and/or avionics... Or maybe just a convenient place for the crew chief to hide his cold drinks when the fighter is in the service bay.
