Re: V-35 landspeeder
Kenposan, I know that this has been a frustrating exercise, but since we found the new scale information, have you decided to re-attack this ship?

Re: V-35 landspeeder
I haven't gotten my fire back yet but it will come in time. I am not ready to re-attack but I am ready to think about it.
So based on your assessment, the speeder is 131.46 cm high. Subtract 20 cm for "float" and we have a height of the crew cabin at 111.46 cm. Is that correct? (math, not my thing).
Do we still think it is 21ft long? And what is that in metric? Actually, the metric needs converted to Imperial since I live in America and refuse to go metric. <g>

Re: V-35 landspeeder
I'm not a fan of metric stuff either, but if I remember my conversions correctly it should work out to 6.46 meters, or 646.15 cm to keep the units the same. I may be a tad off due to approximating at 39 inches per meter, but I remember that being a pretty close figure. Feel free to correct me if more accuracy is needed.

Re: V-35 landspeeder
very close Andres.
21 feet = 6.4 metres.
640.08 cm to be exact.

Re: V-35 landspeeder
Yeah, metric conversions always mess me up. Probably explains why people were afraid to let me drive in Toronto. Thought I'd forget that speed limit 110 didn't mean pretend my last name is Andretti...

THere is a great free tool from Microsoft that is disgused as a calculator download. It is also a scientific calculator for those than can use it.
Scan down the menu on the right for POWER CALCULATOR.
Or there is a web based conversion tool here.

Re: V-35 landspeeder
Okay, my last post vanished. grrrrr
I noted in it that my drawing matches Luc's height assessment using the image of C3PO.
So the question is, what now? Do we think the rear end of this thing is as good as we can get it? What needs tweaking on the SIDE IMAGE? Besides the reactor, I know it's scale needs changed.

DOA
I am officially surrendering this project. I only accepted it because every time I posted a mod I got "ready for a real project?" response from someone and I gave in.
But what was supposed to be an easy starter project has become a whole lot more complicated and beyond what I was prepared to do. Beyond that, I just don't care about this project. I have been deluding myself for months that I would return to this project. I have finally admitted that I am not.
I have other projects that mean more to me that I want to concentrate on.
So, I offer apologies to everyone who has provided time and effort in this project, particulary Lucas.
If anyone wants to finish it feel free. I have a good start and the only real issue is the rear end.
