Lambda Shuttle

Hello again,

some years ago I started working on a lambda class shuttle. Due to some difficulties, the project got dusty.
But now here is it again:

Image

Currently I am working on the other views.

Some internals:

and the hyperdrive.

Thoughts or suggestions?

What I can see so far really looks very good and I am looking forward to seeing more of it.

Do you also have a top and a front view?

And just out of interest: Du bist Deutscher, richtig?

Welcome Lars. What a great start! The only thing I see right off hand is the guns are missing.
I can't wait to see the other views.

Do you have any other ships in the attic you'd be willing to share with us?

Lars, with your photobucket you have the same problem I did. There is a options menu, contained within is a larger image setting (default is 800 x 600).

Now on with the design: I thought the landing gear doors swung out to the sides, not fore/aft. As slay mentioned it looks like your missing the guns, I recommend "Void's Gunstore" located in the Original Designs forum. other than that, looks great, remember we're here to have fun and feed Luc's addictive habit emoticon

Phoenix, the landing gear doors do open fore and aft.

I thought it looked alittle small.
Lars, you could split it into two pictures to get a full size view.

Re: Lambda Shuttle

This looks so familiar...

I know I have seen this before. I searched my files and could not find it, but I knew that I had seen this before...I decided to get back to work prepping the Myi'Til page for the Gallery, when I found the original image! It is dated August 28, 2004 and it was sent to me by Frank back in the old days.

Lars, this is really good work, I was wondering how you arrived at the specific size though.

I do have an extensive amount of images of the Lambda Shuttle and there is also the reference material at SWTC that is very useful.

As for the photobucket resolution restriuctions, I would split up the images so that each view is represented seperately. When it is up in the Gallery, we will be able to assemble them together without detail loss. However, before we do that, we really need to do a serious examination of this ship.

I am looking forward to seeing more. This is one of my favourite ships in Star Wars.

kind regards,
Lucas

Photobucket: They enabled the filesize option and with 1MB filesize, almost ANY bluescale ship size can be uploaded in .gif format. emoticon

Here is a WIP from the other views. They are currently in development:

@VOID: Ja, dass ist richtig. Ich komme aus Bremen.

@Lucas: I think you saw the same picture on www.scifi-meshes.com. I posted it there some years ago.

Sweet! You might want to coordinate with Fellbatzen. He is doing the Imperial Gunboat, which is very inspired by the Lambda. I don't know if it turns out to be helpfull to any of you, but I thought it was a good thing to suggest it.

Ah, gut zu wissen. Ah, good to know.
Ich bin aus Berlin. I am from Berlin.
Wir haben noch viele andere Mitglieder aus Deutschland. We also got many other members from Germany.

Svarn Lornon, DeFoe, Fellbatzen and Witzig, for example.

Immer gut zu wissen, falls es mal Sprachbarrieren gibt. Always good to know in case of any language barriers.

Vielleicht verirrst du dich ja mal in den SWDA irc Chat. Perhaps you might drop in the SWSA irc Chat.

From my experience, it is the fastest way to get detailed feedback and among the regular users are me, Lucas, Slay, Svarn Lornon (Kodiak) und Fellbatzen. Tiree and some others sometimes drop in, too.

Okay, enough binary talking. emoticon

p.S.: Originally, I intended to say all the things I said in German, in German only. Then I noticed it would be rude to our english-speaking users. Lucas also seems to enjoy cross-language stuff every once in a while. emoticon
