Eric, this is looking really awesome. I know I expressed serious doubts when you began this project, but it's looking worthwhile now. My apologies and my compliments to your skill.

In truth I figured (okay, HOPED) most initial doubters would eventually understand my reasoning behind starting the project -- to develop a small hyperdrive-capable ship that can be used for a variety of purposes and that could provide a decent starting option for PCs just starting out.

That's pretty much what it is -- a space-faring delivery van. And when you start thinking about what all jobs you see regular vans performing, then this little 10m ship's potential versatility becomes apparent.
