To be honest, this is the sort of ship that are owened by sons of well off or rich men/women, much like you see the Jockstrap with the Corvette in American movies that lords it over everyone. (The sort of guy you wanna smack)

I don't expect to see swimming pools and jacuzzis, what I would expect to see is a high performance engine, a single seat ****pit. The kind of ship that needs little modification or maintenance. But is installed with the latest equipment. But a few luxuries can also be expected.

Re: Baudo-class Star Yacht

My design has a three person ****pit. There is enough room and it makes for a great group mentality when playing. But for the most part it is definately a 1 person ****pit with two backseats. The two additional seats would be for Navigation and Weapons.

I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out how a person can get to the turret. On top of that, that turret is huge - so more than likely it should be automated, with maybe a secondary manual control surface inside the turret.

I still like to stick to my guns that most spacecraft (including star wars) all seem to refer to naval water bearing equivelants. So with that, I still think this is a high end boat versus a high end sports car.

Hey everybody, guess what I'm doing? RESURRECTING ANOTHER THREAD!!!

Hey Tiree, why can't BOTH sides be right? You say it's a glorified boat with ion engines. They say it's a Porsche 911 with landing gear. How's this? It's a SPEED BOAT!!! That's right, it's a bloody be-damned racing hydrofoil!

C'mon, it's got tin foil for a hull, a Space of 10 by WEG standards (it can keep pace with a frelling TIE Fighter!) and it's just too 'sporty' looking to be anything as stately as a true yacht. Whatcha think?

Quint send me an email, and I will send you the Bob Caswell original so big your eyes will roll. I will also send you never before seen, John Royce's 5 view development drawings. Drooling yet?

FVBonura@verizon.net

I thought you would never ask. The Baudo TIE fighter lives again.

The Rob Caswell original from the 80's is all you need. You worked miracles with the "Stinger" you will do just fine. You also have all of John Royce's research. I believe in you Quint.
