Miy 'Til Fighter

This was my very first work assigned to me by Frank to 'prove my worth' to join the team last year, it took approximately one week and was extrapolated from ONLY the Doug Chiang drawing in the Essential guide.

As most of the members of the Alliance feel that Troy Vigil should stick to drawing stuff that requires his level of talent...like graffiti.

It's in blue scale and although I am happy with the way it turned out...this was before I started playing with shading. I will eventually do this in Redscale for the fighter gallery to show much more detail and redo the landing gear and the droid bay.

any comments and crits are welcome.

regards,
Lucas

Where's that Rework?

I genuinely believe Uwe Boll could've done a better job with the prequels.

Uhm... just a thought here, but to me this looks good enough to stick into the "Parts & Accessories" section of the website. You never know when someone may want to stick it in the cargo bay of a larger freighter. emoticon

<<<<<WARNING: POSSABLE MISINTERPRATION OF INFORMATION>>>>>

Ok,

Everone has been warned that my comments are from a possable unreliable source. First of all I think the Miy' til posted on this forum looks great. I did notice a great diffrence between that picure, and my old copy of SW Essential Guide. The placement of the astromech is diffrent. Is this because it was found to be a better position or is this is, however improbable, a possable error? Or should I take the Essencial Guide and torch it, like a good pyro would?

actually, no you didn't misinterpret the information. I was looking at the Chiang drawing and based on what I was looking at, I felt that the position of the droid under the hull would work better...but it might change in the final analysis. Ultimately, I like it this way....but that was my interpretation. I did not use the elevation views at all.

Whoops. You assigned me that book quite a while back. I never quite finished writing it up. I have a kid in the hospital right now, but I'll get back on it soon as I can.

I CAN tell you, however, that the word Miy'Til does not appear in the book. The fighter is barely described at all! Isolder has a fighter called Storm he designed and built himself. It seats one and has a droid. There are just a few descriptive sentences about certain parts of the ship. I have them all bookmarked, just no time right now to post them.

Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did listening to the audio version. As Grell has already said, the fighter was barely even mentioned because it only saw action once on the descent to the surface of Dathomir.
