Re: Miy 'Til Fighter

Lucas asked me if I would like to rescale this fighter. So, the first step is to get to red scale. Hopefully it was as easy as I think. If somebody would verify this I'll move on to the hard stuff.

Miy 'Til Fighter red scale

corrected, sorry

when you link to flickr please use the large image in the folder. the displayed image in your portfolio is always a thumbnail. as you have it right now, it is smaller than bluescale.

Is that a JPG?

Please no JPGs.

Why didn't you resize the Miy'Til to Yellow Scale? This ship is very small, only a bit longer than the A-wing.

"The Courtship of Princess Leia" was not descriptive at all regarding this ship, so Chiang, and Vigil are the original official source. The only thing they got wrong was the fact the A-wing is bigger than the Miy'Til. The Miy'Til is the second smallest fighter in the STAR WARS Galaxy, and the A-wing is still the most compact.

Go ahead Luc take a bow. emoticon

yellowscale would be best for this one indeed.

Luc we may want to retrace from the Vigil schematic if we are resizing this much. This will be an increase of 500%, and the distortion will be significant.

I will not use the vigil drawing.
I strongly recommend that anyone attempting this, not to use the vigil drawing at all. corrections can be made after rescaling.

No, it's a BMP. Maybe Flickr changed it.

I knew you where going to say that. We talked about red scale, so that's what I did. It was good practice for me. For yellow scale, the ship needs to be drawn from sratch.
I would still like to know if the scaling is right.
Can somebody post the picture that is to be used, please?

I hate to be a fly in the ointment (actually, that's a lie. I LOVE to do this stuff!) but there ARE a few fighters even smaller than the A-Wing.

Smaller than the 9.6m "official" A-wing maybe. The SWDA A-Wing is so small that anything smaller would not have space for all the bits to make it into a functional fightercraft.
