Re: Miy 'Til Fighter
Just posted a similar question elsewhere.
It was my understanding that Storm, Isolder's fighter was a modified Miy'til and that the illustration in Essential guide was of Storm hence the Ion cannon drawn and marked and no such weapon in the stock Miy'til stats.

Re: Miy 'Til Fighter
Unfortunately, Troy Vigil indicates a lot of features on his drawing...most notably the location of the astromech which disagrees with the d20 stats and capsule as well....the question is who is right? what if the nose rod things are sensors in the stock model?

Re: Miy 'Til Fighter
Excellent, Tiree. Thank you very much. I knew of that picture, but didn't have the time to look it up and post it.
Now let's see, what we can see. We can see tiny things that might be the wing guns on one of the fighters, but we don't see them on the second one. They all seem to have that nose gun.
All that got me thinking.
I don't believe that it is possible in such a small and compact craft, to easily add weapons if they were not already supposed to be optional. That would mean that Isolder does not fly a unique mod. His ship may be tuned more than others, but the basic configuration would have to be stock. However, that does not mean all hardpoints have to be used.
Basic configuration would be a ship with two wing hardpoints and a heavier hardpoint in the nose. The stock version either mounts the wing guns, or a twin-gun in the nose. That means the picture would show different hardpoint variations, which is no big deal. Each hardpoint would be able to mount one light cannon, with the nose hardpoint beeing able to handle up to three guns of equal size.
What do you think?

Re: Miy 'Til Fighter
The crafts in front are the Miy'Til Heavy Assault Bombers. When you compare them to the crafts in the background you also see that they have a longer body.

Re: Miy 'Til Fighter
The picture I posted comes from Starships of the Galaxy. It has both the Heavy Assault Bomber and the Fighter in it. Alas, I was not sure which was which. I always assumed the tri-winged craft as the fighter, not the bomber.

Re: Miy 'Til Fighter
The fighter closest (top left) also appears to have a longer wing where it connects to the fuselage.
Could the picture be a Miy'til squadron being led by Isolder flying his "Storm"?
