well, it is difficult to determine the landing capabilities with those massive chipmunk cheek pods on the side.

Here's a crazy idea...what if the ****pit either extended forward or vertically for landing, either way would give a much better viewof the landing zone.

Perhaps the Nesst is designed to usually use smaller cheek pods and these are the largest that could be fitted even though the impinge upon your vision.

The picture is from a modified vessel is it not.

Yes, it is from the Miv'Rah.

I agree, that if the "pods" are indeed pods, the shown variant could mount the biggest pods availlable.

I have also thought about the moving ****pit. What if the ****pit would extend forward and tilt down during flight? In that case, the windows would offer better front vision. I am sure this could be realised and compared to ships like Slave 1, where basically the whole internal ****pit array rotates full 90 degrees, it is not a too complicated thing. Similar perhaps to an AT-AT neck. Only retractable. Could look very funny.

Or instead of the ****pit moving my not a section of nose, like concorde used to have, tilting forward and done out of the way to increase vis for landing and shifting back for better aerodynamics.

that makes sense.

an animation could be done of that..similar to the A wing...my only concern as far as tilting down is concerned is the ****pit would have to extend forward pretty far...maybe it extends forward and the aft end tilts up, accomplishing the same effect...the only problem with this would be;

How would it be possible for people to move back and forth from the ****pit while it is extended and tilted? Maybe an extendible collar like the ATAT as well?

What if those cargo pods on the side are curved...rounded? Remember that the pilot cannot see aft without electronic assistance...so the practicality of having to eyball the landing zone...especially a tight one kind of becomes moot. Just a thought. I am simply trying to explore all angles.

regards,
Lucas
