This thread is for comments and suggestions concerning the KDY Corona Transport image and information posted in the gallery.

Please remember that this is NOT a WIP thread -- any modification projects need to be posted in the appropriate thread in the Original WIPs Forum

Re: KDY Corona Transport Feedback

I just wanted to provide feedback on this particular project and express massive kudos to Michael "tpkc klick" Devore on his work on the Corona.

Due to his excellent work on this ship, traffic has increased to quite a large degree.

as an example, when the Corona was first posted to the gallery, the direct result was 119 visitors to the Gallery, which represents more than double the traffic generated by the launch of the gallery (62 on June 7th). as of writing this post, the traffic to the gallery is 141 unique visitors.

This increased traffic appears to be coming in large part from a place called Traveler RPG

The specific thread can be found HERE

I want to thank them for their interest in the work here.

Great job klick, I am sure I am not alone when I say that I look forward to the next project you take on. emoticon

kind regards,
Lucas

A couple of people have asked about the cannon on the Corona:

It is indeed supposed to be retractible, though I seem to have overlooked mentioning this in the capsule.

Image

The cannon turret partially retracts as shown above to protect it when not in use. The weapon can still cover the aft arc while retracted.

This information will be included in an expanded capsule I'm going to work on this weekend.

By the way, the turret is a VOID creation.

ah, nice!

By the way, I seem to recall that you had worked on a saggital view of the Corona...did I dream it?
It would be nice to add that to the gallery page.

regards,
Lucas

You recall correctly. It's on hold right now, as my attention is elsewhere right now.

My one nagging issue is those escape pods. Unless they are supposed to only last a day or so (and then only float, no room for engines), they really need to be bigger.

If you stretch them a bit it only eats into corridor and would make a lot more sense (so say I).

That's another thing I need to do- yellowscale the escape pods.

what if you extend them vertically a bit, so that they do not eat up interior space of the ship, but say the engines are in the floor...and all the supplies and rations are in ceiling stowing cubboards (like on passenger planes)
