Those support struts got some available space...

Re: KDY Corona Transport Feedback
Similar to Void's comment, why don't you reduce the number of seats in the pods by one each, then make the ship's ****pit itself, an escape pod. That way, if all the crew wasn't in one spot (but some one was piloting) and an emergency required imediate evacuation, the ****pit would seal and launch and the rest of the crew would abandon in the pods.
You could also make it so that after jettisoning the pods and ****pit, the three elements would link together to extend supplies and available space for the crew. Not to mention the more sophisticated equipment in the ****pit module.

Re: KDY Corona Transport Feedback
I'd just like to say that when I first saw the silhoette and the original sketches I didn't think I'd like it at all.
You've done awesome work and turned a inelegent layout into a truly great design.

As promised, a midsagittal view of the Corona:
It still needs some greening-up in the machine spaces in the ceilings and floors.

Re: KDY Corona Transport Feedback
Concerning the escape pods, must everything be comfortable at all times, for everyone? The four seats are crowded, but four humans can sit in there. They can't stretch their legs and have a cigerette, but then can fit. Looks like more room than your typical coach fare airliner. As it is, this is the stock version. I would presume that it's a Core World transport where upon any evacuation from the ship would be met with almost immediate rescue.
I would argue that those that want larger pods, with hot tubs, and a wet bar, upgrade from your nearest escape pods dealer.

Re: KDY Corona Transport Feedback
How comfortable is a modern day lifeboat? this thing is designed to support your life in the event the ship is compromised.

Re: KDY Corona Transport Feedback
That's kind of the idea: the pods meet the requirements for this ship. They have enough seating for the 7 people the ship is rated to carry (there is actually an extra seat) and will keep the crew alive long enough to get rescued, though it won't be pleasant. The ship may not be carrying a capacity load of passengers, so, realistically, there may be only one or two people per pod.

Re: KDY Corona Transport Feedback
I'm not bother by the comfort side, just the amount of equipment that can fit. So maybe it is a 'core would pod' with only a few hours life support, but that seems a bad idea. There is nothing to stop making those pods longer and thus house enough techie bits to sustain the occupants for a few days, just in case three isn’t a rescue ship waiting...
