Re: YT-2000
thanks, I think I have enough done to start doing the shading...once I finish the engine assembly....which will definitely be tonight.
By the way, I will be doing the shading on this, the way I did the A Wing.
look for an update tonight or early in the morning, tomorrow.
regards,
Lucas

Re: YT-2000
Luke why not make this consistantly shaded like other Blue scale ships?
If you want to convince me your shading methods work, you need to finish the A-wing. We still do not have one ship completed in your new Yellow scale shading style.
Prove me wrong finish the A-wing first.
This ship will be dificult to modify by our beloved kitbashers with all that shading. The effort would be better used on the interior, and completeing the experior details and landing gear first.

Re: YT-2000
I am taking a break from the front view of the Awing for the time being.
I like the yt-2000 a lot and progress is fast, so I will continue to work on her.
As far as the shading is concerned, I will make two versions. The flat version that you are so fond of, which is easy anyway, and the shaded version, which really isn't all that tough to do...just tedious, but it will look so awesome.

Flat versions are good, easier to mod.

Re: YT-2000
As pretty as the shaded versions are, I agree that flat is easier to mod.

Re: YT-2000
Flat is good. Most things are already shaded in a very stylized way. The more you move away from stylization, the more complicated it gets and I always admired the detailed simplicity about the deckplans.

Luc, one of the things that I've actually gotten through my thick skull is that these projects aren't for ourselves, they are for the RPGers and thus they should reflect their needs.

Re: YT-2000
Paul can shade this as much as he likes, but we will need a flat version too, for the site.
This is unbeliveable - a realy desireable ship is being thrown together in a matter of a few weeks!
Paul has too much free time!
In all seriousness, it's vital not to get bogged down in 3D modeling and debate on the interior at this point - we need to keep up the pace and get this flying!
