Lucas determined the size to 15inches=15 pixel.
I'm working in redscale.

Basic outlines done so far (rear=front; top=bottom, due to the fact that the mesh is simple. Therefor no doubleposting of the images):

Great Start! as this ship progresses, we will need to round off the parts and add enhancements to the design to make it look more realistic.

as for the additional rudder components, I think those should be seperated from the hull for the time-being.

Nice start Fellbatzen! keep it up!

regards,
Lucas

I thought red scale was 12 pixels per foot.

Did you draw the out-line on top of the pictures or free hand? It's going to be a great ship when your done.

The 15 inches=15pixels refered to the reference thread, sorry. That was for the TIE-Pilot reference-Picture.

The Outline is based on the Mesh, but half of it was to rough, so pieces of it are fully redrawn.

There appears to be a fighter in the RPG like this as well. Perhaps those pics could help as well. I know Secrets of the Sissar Run has at least one pic. I think Pirates and Privateers, correction, the Far Orbit Project has more pics and stats as well.

I have those books. I shall dig for any such references tomorrow.

slay1, 12 pixels : 1 foot equals 1 pixel: 1 inch
therefore 15 pixels = 15 inches.

I cleaned up the edges and the Thrusters are now symmetrical.

I'm experimenting with the nose, because, if we are very honest with ourselfs, we have to admit it looks pretty stupid, and the original model is superlowpoly.
First try:

Fellbatzen,

this is shaping up very well indeed! very clean, I love it. nice job with the rounding of the edges. emoticon

as for the nose 'correction', I would say that the first test is too much of a departure. it should still be a wedge shape, but perhaps more rounded and gradually flowing into the roof.

Lucas
