Forum re-focus
It is with heavy heart that I have to express that Frank Bonura is no longer an active contributor to this forum.
Over the past several months, Frank has become dissilusioned with the apparent lack of progress that has been made on the forum. I personally believe that Frank was alone in that sentiment and feel that his statements were a detriment to the forum as well as to his own gallery site.
Further issues have resulted in an impass as to what the purpose of the SWDA is. Several of us have attempted to maintain smooth relations with Frank on several subjects, but they were met with severe resistance and obtrusive responses that were incompatible with the goals of the SWDA.
I personally believe that Frank's extreme views and publicly stated hatred of George Lucas do not reflect this community as a whole. Due to this, I am removing the restrictions that have been imposed by Frank's personal views.
It was our sincere hope that this would not result in this way, but we feel that there was no choice in the matter. It is my fervent hope that Frank will visit this forum on occasion to see our progress, and we do feel that the art style that Frank perfected is excellent and we will continue to honour him for that innovation.
The SWDA is a community to build ships and parts for the Star Wars community at large. There are fans of the art and of the rpg that find the work useful, and enjoyable.
As of now, all sources for the Star Wars universe are officially accepted - this includes the prequels and all rpg materials.
In the coming days, the forum will change to the Star Wars Design Alliance, to reflect this change. Also, we will be launching a new gallery to showcase ALL of the work made by our contributors...not just the work that Frank feels is worthy of his site.
We have some very strong contributors and I feel (as do others) that we have been narrow focussed for too long.
