Newsflash: Server issues

Just in case some of you find your way here, it seems we currently have some server issues. This means that the forum, the gallery and the chat are currently down, as is everything else that is on that server.

The server admin has been informed, but due to the weekend it may take a few days for the problem to get fixed. The exact nature of the problem is currently not known to us, but as soon as we know, I will either tell you, or it will already be solved.

Shouldn't be anything serious and I must admit that I am actually surprised that there have never been any unexpected downtimes before. Most servers have one or another glitch from time to time.

Hang in there and don't panic. emoticon

Thanks for making this update Void. Much appreciated.

And yes, as has been stated, things should be back to normal soon, hopefully with a minimum of data loss.

thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
Lucas

Actually, there are only two options.

1. No data loss at all. Server goes back up and everything is fine. Preferred.
2. Full data loss. However, for such a case I make regular backups of the forum database and I assume you do the same with the gallery. Not preferred.

So the worst case scenario would cost us the past 2 weeks of postings max. That is rather unlikely, though.
